The Miserable Billionaire

Once upon a time, there was a miserable billionaire. His family life was great. He had a beautiful wife and kids. That only made him more depressed. He could buy anything he wanted whenever he wanted. He went to the greatest parties in the whole world. He owned a private yacht and all. He was still sad.

One day his friend told him about a wise man at the top of a mountain. All that you need to do is climb the mountain and the wise man shares with you the secret to happiness. You don’t need to bring anything with you, all you need to do is climb the mountain.

So, the billionaire took a private helicopter to the top of the mountain and landed directly next to the wise man.

“Wise man what is the secret to happiness?” he asked.

The wise man handed him a water skin and happily exclaimed “it’s water!”

“I don’t get it,” said the billionaire. He tried drinking the water and pouring it on his head, but nothing worked. Defeated, he decided to return home. To his dismay, the helicopter ceased functioning. Miserable and depressed he began the trek down the mountain. Hours passed by and he finally reached the bottom of the mountain only to find himself lost in a desert. After what felt like years of wandering the desert he was dying of thirst. At that moment, he prayed to God. “Please God if only I could have just a sip of water, I would be the happiest man in the world.” That’s when he remembered the water skin the wise man had handed him. It was the cleanest, purest, greatest-tasting water in the whole world.
